The second reason I love this time of year is that you get a raft of laid-back compilations such as this one. Although were this differs is that its been selected by two of Ibiza’s favorite sons. Pete Gooding is resident at Café Mambo, by the way they also celebrate their twelve years of existence with this CD, and Afterlife aka Steve Miller who both DJ’s and produces some of the most sublime music. So sit back and relax as this mix-free journey transports you along with a little help from Max Sedgley, The Temptations, Coldcut and the excellently named Suicide Sports Club. Sometimes happy, sometimes melancholy, but always emotive Café Mambo 2006 could well prove to be musically one of the best of its kind this summer.
