Four:Twenty is one of those labels that should get more recognition for a consistently high level of quality in its house music. Hopefully the first in the Connect series will go some way to redressing that balance, bringing new artists welcome exposure in a mixed format. This outing sticks to the principles of good, solid dance music that progresses nicely from deep, nocturnal house to music that pumps up the funk quotient and gets itself dirty on the dancefloor. All the tracks are sourced and mixed by Wollion, and while the more chilled stuff is headed by Luca Agnelli’s ‘Landscape’, the pick of the faster tracks are Dualton & Wollion’s ‘Foursquare’, Internullo’s ‘Love This’ and Nicole Moudaber’s ‘Stilettos’. Excellent stuff, hopefully the first of many in this series.
