Curle 25: So Far (So Good)
Curle

Belgium’s Curle Recordings has made quite a dent in the deep techno market since being launched by DJ Fader in 2006, Martyn’s remix of Efdemin’s relentless 303-fest ‘Acid Bells’ busting out of the underground while the latter’s 2008 mix CD was held up as one of the decade’s best. The first CD on this double set presents label highlights, including ‘Acid Bells’ sounding glorious as ever in original and remix form, John Beltran’s atmospheric mix of Efdemin’s ‘The Pulse’, Anthony Collins on haunting form, Thomas Brinkmann, Mark August, Tampopo and Soul Center, some tracks drawn from the label’s Metisse and Petite offshoots. The second CD comes as an MP3 disc featuring four hours of mix action from Anthony Collins, Peter Van Hoesen and Fader, who has every right to be a very proud bloke right now. Very special package which looks and feels great too.
