I struggle to think of any Radio Slave mixes that haven’t kept me completely hooked from first note to last, and this, accompanying a multimedia extravaganza about the Japanese capital, is no exception. There are some typically far out moments towards the middle of the mix, in particular the otherworldly whistling that goes with Ramiro Lopez’ ‘Brunch In Guadamalar’, while Brotherhood’s ‘Memorial Smith’ really gets the mix motoring, in its remix form by Daniel Stefanik. Fading out, meanwhile, is the timeless Radio Slave remix of Mlle Caro & Franck Garcia’s ‘Dead Souls’, a wonderful piece of music that never fails to leave its mark.
