We’re not used to this, HedKandi going all aggressive on us! Normally they’re so well behaved. ‘Destroy The Disco’ stamps all over that concept with some well crafted, synth-driven house, with some sharp edges to reworkings of Calvin Harris, Noisettes and Noob&Brodinski. Naturally, Fake Blood makes a couple of appearances, and with the Prodigy, Bloc Party and Simian Mobile Disco also in tow, this is a compilation for those who like their house music to have a bit of extra muscle. It’s also a feather in the cap of HedKandi, as it’s good to see them not resting on their laurels and trying different approaches to house music. By and large, this one works very well.
