If you’re not the sort who buys something like Steve Wright’s Love Songs (a frightening prospect in every way) you’ll do much better to invest in some Disco Love courtesy of Al Kent’s record collection. This will put a smile on your face before ten minutes are out, particularly if you end up listening to Smile Street People’s ‘Lypso Disco’, with its steel pans and strings, or Patricia White’s invitation in ‘Cosmic Disco’. Added to these are groovy stompers from the likes of Bob Williams and The Midas Touch, keeping things moving nicely. As is customary from BBE there is a mixed CD and an unmixed selection, keeping things DJ friendly. This is definitely something to warm the cockles!
