Ex-Dirty Vegas member Paul Harris mixes up a storm here with this collection of wonderfully dark, driving house music. It’s fairly minimal in approach, but there’s always something to keep you hooked, whether it’s a subtle bass riff, a driving drum track or some cleverly pitched percussion that veers towards the tribal. This is all fully realised on Michel Cleis’ ‘La Mezcia’, but not before we’ve heard some upfront house from APDW, &Me and Tom Novy. Once he’s in the groove, Harris finishes off with his own ‘The Take’, Ramon Tapia’s ‘Mi Esposa’ and Magik Johnson’s ‘The Feeling’, completing an energetic, full bodied set. Well worth getting your mits on.
