This second sublime helping from the mellower side of Soma’s fearsome canon is another intoxicating selection which digs back through the archives. Sometimes it might have been easy to overlook the label’s gentler outings in the face of the roof-blasting belters it continually fires out in the quest for pushing the techno envelope where dancefloor demolition meets electronic innovation. So after Envoy’s gorgeous ‘Prologue 1’ it’s time to lie back and wallow in lustrous gems from Vector Lovers, Chaser, Slam, Smoke, old Black Dog, Silicone Soul, Repeat Repeat and even back to Rejuvenation. It’s a wonderful experience, like lying in the sun surrounded by cavorting rabbits orŠinsert your own idyllic summer scenario and here’s the perfect soundtrack.
