If it’s house and funk you’re after with an entertaining twist, then you’ve come to the right place. Both of these mixes are strong in appeal. The 2 Bears deal mainly in the currency of positive vocal house, often with a smattering of explicit references to the old school. This includes a good number of their own tracks, such as ‘Church’, ‘Mercy Time’ and ‘Work It Out’, knocked about by some more percussive numbers as the mix gathers steam. Thomas Gandey hits harder, featuring the Crookers heavily early on but scoring especially heavily when he gets as far as his own tracks ‘Behind The Mask’ and ‘Trucks’, the latter especially appealing with the warmth of its central breakdown. These are never less than floor filling, two mixes done by artists that clearly see a lot of dancefloor action on their travels and play to the punters rather than themselves.
