Tales of the Unexpected features some weighty house music, mixed by Simon Berry with a near-digital accuracy that keeps things more than ticking over. Subway’s ‘Journey’ makes a full bodied start to the second CD, along the lines of what Berry has already deployed in CD1 – earth moving bass from Sean Quinn & Andy Page, the Wighnomy Brothers and Habersham. It’s an excellent double of electro-tech house that goes deep but doesn’t forget to come out and entertain.
