If I didn’t describe this compilation of juicy Disco cuts, both original and re-edits, as nothing less than outstanding and a compliment to your music collection you would probably go and buy it anyway. But as Joey Negro and Sean P are behind the choice then perhaps so you should. It goes without saying that some of this you may be familiar with while other tracks will be new to you, and that’s something which is always exciting, getting introduced to some great music that you’ve missed out on. From amongst a number of gems contained here is Ashford and Simpson’s ultra-funky ‘One more try’ and the Walter Gibbon’s mix of Gladys Knight’s life-affirming ‘It’s a better than good time’.
