Cream compilations of late have been setting a high standard, and Eddie Halliwell certainly hasn’t done a bad one yet in several years of Ibiza mixing for the club. This one is no exception, as he races through 22 tracks with unbridled joy, hitting several highs with the likes of Sebastien Leger, Deadmau5, Pryda, Alkatraz and Activa. It’s largely trancey, but Halliwell is able to throw in nice touches of Balearic house to shake things up a bit. By nature Van Doorn is a bit more commercial in his sound, but adds an edge to his remixes of The Killers and Depeche Mode, while finding a reassuringly muscular version of Paul Van Dyk’s ‘For An Angel’, in this case the one by Spencer & Hill. Excellent stuff once again from Cream, and a fine party aid for trips to the white island.
