STK – Uncompromising Groundwork (Olga) (02/06)

OLGA is a label from the Brazilian club D Edge that looks to put put sleek minimal techno that works best on its famous sound system. So far they have done that to great effect and now they are back with another fine EP, this time from STK.

It has two original jams and one remix from Gari Romalis. First up is Bootsy, nearly eight minutes of synapse twitching deep house and techno combined into a mind melting groove-athon. The synths are frazzled and delicate, the drums rubbery and the atmosphere stark but alluring.  High Tech Soul is even more deep and supple, trippy and after-hours in style. Its lush and spiritual with nice pads and freaky vocals drifting about the mix. The remix is a lumpy affair that bends tones and pitch shifts synths so that you feel relaxed and goes, just like the track itself. Overall then another essential offering.

Uncompromising Groundwork is out 2nd June 2017! Pre-order your copy here:
