Just when you think one of your favourite labels has released the same ol’ style tracks for the past year or so… Along comes something very special indeed. Krust has been busy finishing his latest LP and instead of subbing it out to a major a is releasing it on their own Full Cycle label, Some of my favourite drum & bass memories are from listening to earlier Krust tracks like True Stories etc, they seem to go a little deeper and more thought gone into them than the usual by numbers D&B. This nd Mystery School on the flip are again a little quirky but for sure they rock any dance when played out.. You just have to be a little different and not play the normal floorfillers and educate as well as entertain, The intro takes you into a jazzed out rhythm whilst making way for a great bassline similar in style to the early Jazzstep tracks in the mid 90’s. Take time out to listen to this a few times and not to dismiss it straight away because this is Drum & Bass as you should be hearing it today.
