Boom Bip presents Sacchrilege, a veritable Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory of upbeat, soaring electronica driven delights, Bip’s musical recipe manages to be simultaneously retro yet futuristic and forward thinking, with crisp, pin-sharp productions incorporating luminescent synths, lush strings, and pulsating percussion. Opening salvo ‘Snook Adis’ can be as comfortably filed alongside the robotic-pop of Kraftwerk or contemporary artists such as MSTRKRFT. ‘Rat Tail’ continues on into rawer rockier terrain before Bip introduces an ice-cold mysterious female vocal to the mix for ‘Coogi Sweater’.  Further points of comparison can be found with bands like ‘Justice’ and ‘New Young Pony Club’. Inspiration form Detroit’s holy trinity of Juan Atkins, Derek May and Kevin Saunderson are reflected in the joyous and motorcity-esque ‘The Pinks’ and EP finale ‘One Of Eleven’.
