DJ LARGO & ZERO
ONE THING
BEIAK

New label whacked up by DJ Largo and Zero steams off the starting blocks, setting the manifesto for the pair’s planned explorations of the throbbing mutations possible by mating electro and deeper house. Made by DJs for DJs, but here they rope in London stalwart, the under-rated Jim Masters to heave in his considerable take on floor-moving dynamics. The aptly-titled Bass Mix rides a filthy squelcher of a synth riff topped by vocals from Harry of Cambridge’s Verbal Warning. The Acid Latin Mix also speaks for itself, mating those two elements to create a pure, party knees-up which is deliriously fun. So simple it hurts but capable of major whoopee.
