Fil OK is half of the awesome Atomizer, currently doing damage with their ‘Je Suis Lesbien’ single. He’s set up OK Music to release his solo tackle, starting with this contagious kneesup which manages to slip a Brazilian carnival into the convoluted roller coaster of electro and masturbating robots. The mixes all add extra dimensions: Touche manages to inject classical melodies and ravey riffs at the same time! New Scandinavian engineer Blende goes for the peak time screamer with a climactic drop likely to divest the floor of any dignity it might have left. Fil’s Glitterbomb Mix decides the time is right for some disco fever. Like with his usual group, the attitude of pure unbridled celebration and lost-it mayhem rules delivered with deadly skill. The great thing is, it’s still too much for some people but I’m often reminded of the madness of early 80s New York, which is no bad thing.
