FOUND
MULLOKIAN
SURFACE PRESSURE

A multi-instrumentalist four piece from Aberdeen, Found’s debut single “Mullokian” manages to sprinkle in the sounds of guitar, banjo, melodica, trumpet and keyboards –  not forgetting drums, obviously – into a small but perfectly formed slice of pop wonder.  There’s a distinct dreamlike aura to the proceedings, Ziggy Campbell’s mesmerising Scottish drawl doing little to dis-spell this, which is no bad thing at all.  Some might even liken them to groups such as The Bees, The Zutons, or even The Beta Band, thanks to their multi-tracked, re-studded future retro style.  Even if there were a case to be made for passing similarities, there’s plenty of room for bands of the calibre of Found to join such names and make their own sound heard.
