Four:Twenty is a a bit of an institution in Bristol where all things breakbeaty/proggy/dubby have always collided in glorious chaos. Breaks DJ Hyper is well known for his, racey yet ravey, sonic productions, however the choice track here is Daniel Taylor’s remix on the flip. Opting for a clubbier approach and an amazing bassline – think supa funky bleepy-electro – his rework is a killer that really rocks without being too heavy. Even the intrusion of a well-known female vocal sample/anchor doesn’t spoil the fun (127).
