Jackal & Hyde
Sound Of The Underground
Det.Ele.Funk

Say hello to electro-core as the sixth release on the Detroit Grand Pubahs’ label showcases a harsh mutant of heavy duty beats and pummelling riffage. Scott Weiser and Todd Walker have been Jackal & Hyde for nearly ten years, toughening their fearsome take on electro and Miami bass grooves on releases like ‘Beyond’, Seek & Destroy’ and ‘Get Down To My Technique’. ‘Sound Of The Underground’ plants an evil, piranhas-in-the-pants loop over heavyweight electro-wallop topped with nasty vocodered vocal. ‘20,000 Freaks’ ups the ravey quotient with nightmare riffs, sirens and radioactive rectal-jellyfish. A bolt of much-needed attitude.
