After Dibaba’s ‘The Truth Blending Consortium’ (Digitalism oomph with Underworld-ish psychedelic vocals anyone?), Plong! is back with two new tracks from Karri Ojanen. The Helsinki producer/DJ drops ‘Airport Lounge’, a slice of futuristic funk made of jolly noises and bouncy beats, definitely chunkier and less than many minimal releases. On the flip the skippy ‘Songs For A Mad King’ goes for a darker angle that’s still kinda light-hearted, an organic pulsing machine that doesn’t take long to suck you in.
