REX THE DOG
FREQUENCY/I LOOK INTO MID AIR
KOMPAKT

In only a few months Rex The Dog has become the latest flavour of electro-pop thanks to a few well above average productions. Packing excellent melodies with the funkiest of programming his sound is soon to be assimilated by many. The follow-up to his popular “Prototype” track (the best selling Kompakt 12” yet?) “Frequency”, a nervous hybrid of acid funk, is already picking up much plays from a wide range of DJs. On the flip “I Look Into Mid Air” a futuristic take on Pet Shop Boys, with its catchy riff and sweet male vocals, is an absolute gem crying out
to take the lead. After a handful of exciting remixes for Depeche Mode, The Knife and Client the british producer has been given The Prodigy’s recent single to work on. Remaining faithful to the brilliant original he turns out a crisp club mix that will surely get played all around.
