‘Must Be The Moon’ was the standout cut from !!!’s riotous ‘Myth Takes’ album, so it’s no surprise to find it getting a dressing down for single release. Emperor Machine funk things up royally on their mix, keeping the song’s structure pretty much intact, while a deliberately regimented style from Hot Chip cranks up the tension and beefs up the beats. The original still works best – just – in all its New York vs Manchester glory, but these two offer credible alternative viewpoints.
