After having fun with Kraftwerk, Senor Coconut’s now covering in his own inimitable latin style their Japanese cousins Yellow Magic Orchestra. Originally on the 1980 album ‘Xoo Multiples’, ‘Behind The Mask’ is a timeless synth-pop classic that truly deserved a resurrection. Fellow Chileans Original Hamster (a longtime partner) and Ricardo Villalobos provide re-rubs but Usher, Ewan Pearson’s production partner, wins over for turning out a 4/4 electro-pop rendition that will certainly attract the most attention.
