Stratus are a London two-piece signed to German label Klein (Seelenluft). Their second single ‘Looking Glass’ with well known Asha Puthli (?) on vocals sounds like Bent on a good day – Bolly-balearica with a zest of 4AD (77 BPM). Remix-wise, Stevie Kotey (Bear Entertainment, also Chicken Lips’ touring DJ) gives it a minimal electro-funk polish, complete with D-Train pitch-bend stabs. Nothing out of the ordinary – it’s all in the bass line – but pleasant enough to entertain discerning punters (120 BPM). Reverso 68 offer one of their slo-mo workouts – ideal for the swimming pool on a lazy day (111).
