Not to be mistaken with The Killers’ current onslaught on clubland (‘Somebody Told Me’ is quick turning into one of 2005’s first anthems) ‘The Good Ones’ is the first single off the London duo’s second album ‘No Wow’. Jagz Kooner (he who helped shape the sound of Primal Scream, Sabres Of Paradise and many others) is on remix duty and comes up with a roaring mix that combines brilliantly the (rock) song with a pumping club feel (kinda Dandy Warhols meets DFA). Kieran Hebden (Fourtet) cuts and pastes the album mix but unfortunately the band production’s so lo-fi that it doesn’t stand a chance next to the A side.
