THE ROGERS SISTERS
NEVER LEARN TO CRY
TOO PURE

Brooklyn’s Rogers Sisters happily share a wide range of influences on “Never Learn To Cry” – the strident drums sound like ESG; the staccato guitars hail the early days of Talking Heads; and the (actual) sisters sugar coated lead vocals imparts that essential Sonic Youth knowing sense of cool which is expected from any guitar band from New York now.  Somehow, it all comes together to sound surprisingly fresh.  “The Clock” goes for a fuller blooded rock stance, and will do little to convert those lacking the rock faith.
