Matthew Adam Hart aka The Russian Futurists has delivered a debut of outstanding quality. The bombastic ‘Paul Simon’ is an energized carefree psychedelic bundle of a song, as it bursts in like a sun drenched slice of swinging liberated London, with massive wall of sound riffs that lift your spirits, making you leap about like a member of The New Generation, complete with fixed grin & fixed hair. It comes backed with ‘The Plight Of The Flightless Bird’, a soaring angelic refrain with certain Brian Wilson goes east qualities. I find it hard to believe that The Russian Futurists is one man band Matthew Adam Hart, is he talented or what.
