Direct from Montreal, “Supafreaky” is 26 year old Franck Further’s second release for the Unfused label. A simplified house groove that ten years ago might have been labelled trance, but in 2009 in falls the right side of mininal, the electronic breakdown allowing some understated vocals to creep in. Fellow Canadian but now Berlin based Nick Bugayev has a lot of fun on a freaky remix that slips in elements of funk, electro and gritty techno, resulting in the kind of fucked up groove normally reserved for warehouse parties around six in the morning. Tasty.
