Dean Meredith – once a Bizarre Inc, now a Chicken Lips – is making his solo debut under the White Light Circus moniker. Not surprisingly ‘Marching Orders’ and ‘The Shot!’ share common ground with Emperor Machine, the latest solo project of his longtime partner in crime Andy Meecham; the same obsession with slow druggy grooves, dubbed out electro-disco, futuristic machines colliding with traditional instruments. Not quite peaktime but always filled up with well-achieved production tricks and bonkers ideas.
