The world of My Best Friend is rich of influences and humour. Punky synth-pop with a DIY approach, ‘Dial Zero’ instantly stands out for sounding like The B-52’s (or The Belle Stars’ ‘Clapping Song’) produced in Berlin with added poofy vocals. San Francisco’s Safety Scissors gives it a wonky funky treatment whilst B Pitch’s Modeselektor delivers the obligatory minimal re-rub.
