There is a real trend now for chilled out compilations to cast the net a bit wider when looking for their source material. Whereas they used to be covered in Groove Armada, Bent and the like - which means no offence to those artists! - producers and DJs are now a lot more enterprising. Audiovisual Couture does the track selection bit so well it's impossible to take it off the stereo, from the sun blushed ambience of Garnat 3000's 'Structures' through to Kasper Bjorke's glacial song 'Heaven'. In between the likes of Tricky, Fink and Husky Rescue provide left of centre relaxation. CD2 steps up on the funk, with the slowed down disco of the Lovebirds' 'Tuesday' and some cracking synth funkers in Tensnake's 'Holding Back My Love' and Walter Jones' 'Living Without Your Love'. Best heard as a pair - and a perfect soundtrack either for going out or coming home.
