BACKINI
RADIO
LUMENESSlENCE

Lifted from Backini’s critically acclaimed album ‘Re:creation’, ‘Radio’ borrows heavily from Helen Reddy’s 1970 hit ‘Angie Baby’, beefing it up and making it an irresistible throbbing head nodding groover, laced with sweeping strings and stabs. If Backini had done a clean edit, this would be on it‚s way up the national charts. Product.01 are up first on the remixing front, delivering an abundance of juddering electronics. Meanwhile Ninja Tune’s The Qemists give ‘Radio’ a drum and bass going over, and Jay Bharadia rounds off the package with a sinister Halloween mix, bathed in creepy atmospherics.
