CRACK VILLAGE
CHILDREN OF THE WRONG GOD
MAKE SOME NOISE

Think a stage school-educated GLC running with a Princess Superstar-wannabe, hipsters armed with barefaced cheek, trendy swearing and haughty viewpoints. The Village can knuckle down as more serious students of their craft (‘The Whole Point of Music’, ‘The Wrong Song’), but are far happier poking out their poisonous tongues over a mishmash of difficult styles. Slating fame-seekers (‘Celebrity Sex’), charting how they cobbled themselves together (‘Crack Village’) and bolting from snotflicking punk (‘Break Out Of Your Shell’) to semi-pro drum & bass (‘Crack the Whip’) will infuriate and find favour in equal measure – just as the kids intended.
