This is something a little more lyrical. If you like the attitude of Chuck D, Immortal Technique, Paris or Dead Prez, then you are gonna be bang into this. Here we get two tracks taken from Jair’s superb ‘Vicious Ignorance Amounts to Little Except Negative Consequences n’ Expression / V.I.L.E.N.C.E’ album. ‘Vicious has a real deep beat and Jair spits science. ‘Pull Up’ on the flipside is more of the same with lyrics such as; ‘too many of us dying from unprotected erections/so we got bigger issues than George Bush winning elections’. The production is tight on both cuts too making this something really refreshing for the Hip-Hop genre. Good, adventurous, thought provoking, quality rap music.
