CRISTALCITY

“Bristol’s answer to rap cancer” symbolizes the new sound of the West; other than Jimmy Castor meeting Bambaataa disco hopping on ‘Deeper than Deep’, the Avon ‘ardcore have been taken over by ‘Superthug’/’Break Yo Neck’ bullets and clanks (best illustrated by the bow-down remix ‘I Am K.Ners’), pinball synths, piano dramas, and plasticized street fighter epics produced without sounding puny. Pitching somewhere between Taz and Klashnekoff and sounding like he could take on the whole urban spectrum (see opening DandB burner ‘Futuristic’), K.Ners brags, parties and spits grit for his supper, carrying momentum over from his ‘I Am K.Ners’ mix tape.
