Missy Elliott goes full on old skool with ‘We Run This’, as posse shout outs jostle with solo bongo loops and that firm favourite the ‘Apache’ riff. The Sugar Hill revival goes overground. ‘We Run This’ comes backed with a couple of remixes courtesy of X-Press 2 , who house it up and give it a druggy makeover, as distant rhythmic pulses work the grey matter while a bouncing bassline and a solid 4/4 work the hips and feet.
