PRINCE PAUL
HIP HOP GOLD DUST
ANTIDOTE

After picking the lock on his vault marked ‘unreleased’, PP blows the dust off a trio of Gravediggaz coffin-closers, the best kept secret that is LA Symphony, an overlooked nugget from De La Soul, total old skooling from Groove B Chill, a gem of live Stetsasonic, clowning with Chubb Rock & Biz Markie, and of course the ubiquitous skit set that PP more or less pioneered. The rediscoveries feint from shrugging rollers to splatter-core to reggae jiving and just bugging, and while it’s more silver shavings than gold dust, there’s enough to get back cataloguers mildly flustered.
