I always liked this track and its heart felt lyric ‘it’s a horrible thing to push, push love away’. For sure it’s A-Trak in a cuddly electro pop / piano house play suit but it works and it rocks at the right time and in the right way on the right floors. Rene Le Vice tazers you with his upfront and in your face, sphincter tightening drum and bass rewiring whilst Mak and Pasteman go for the moody deep house reworking. The Chainsmokers exploit the pianos, lift it up like a wedding ceremony dove and as the wings unfold add some Madeon sounding synth pads to make the festival crowd surfing massive go mental. It’s still totally pop – but good pop. You’ll crank it up in your car when you hear it on the radio.
