It would be rude not to review something when a new talent promo drops on my desk that sounds every bit ‘ready to go’ and Aaron’s ‘Letters To Johnny’ EP is just that. Having spent the last year writing for Ed Thomas, Arlissa and Dante she has co-written her solo EP with the Midas talents of Tieks, MNEK, Corey Chorus, Niall Lavelle and Toby Davies. This has hothoused her skills as a blossoming singer / songwriter and she has created an assured EP of addictive dream pop and future sounding ballads. ‘Holding Water’ is a steady, synth disco ballad that refreshes like water from a clear, bubbling brook in a desert oasis. ‘Strong’ is a pastel coloured, synth pop confection with a hooky chorus and a winning melody. It’s a promising start that could do big things with the right push. Impressed.
