Making this their second vinyl release from Deep Edition. ‘Blue’ is a somewhat melancholy, though completely compelling, affair with a mid-tempo bluesy feeling vocal strung out across rewarding piano chords and rough beats. The remix comes from Matches who lift the tempo with big, splashing hi-hats and a typically tech bass while reworking the voice altogether. ‘Still Got It’ as befits the labels ethos continues with more detuned, deep sounding vocals that are this time backed up by moody organ chords and crunchy percussion. Leaving label boss Martijn to remix with fresher drums letting the vocal breathe easy while the introduction of a devastatingly laid back bassline marks another quality release from the label.
