The mighty Cocoon empire has done much in recent years to put a shiney new face onto the techno outpourings of continental Europe; taking minimal house to Ibiza with their fabulous Cocoon nights and making sure they take first place in the “staying up forever” stakes thanks to some outrageous afterparties. The label has typically focussed on big brass techno edged main room anthems, but here finds itself on new ground with a sly little track that will sound just as good on a Sunday afternoon in Shoreditch as it will pumping out of Amnesia’s main room speakers. Three tracks on offer, but it’s A Side “My Way Is Your Way” that has been doing heavy damage for us, as fully glitched up percussion takes on a stack of hoover noises and outrageous effects for a full on statement of complete dancefloor carnage.
