Andrea Oliva & Fritz Helder – Turn Off The Dawn EP – (Objektivity)
DMC World Magazine
The much hyped Andrea Oliva delivers the first fruits from ‘4313’ his upcoming album on Dennis Ferrer’s Objektivity imprint. ‘Turn Off The Dawn’ is a fragile thing of beauty. Ticklish beats lead you tentatively into a world where the bassline is king and the Fritz Helder’s (Azari & III) sensitive vocal speaks softly. The Club Mix bounces between a sustained, high pitched tone, ratatat snares, strong piano chords and a low, guttural bass which coils and uncoils around the looped vocal like a snake rushing home from a dune safari. ‘Love Zoe’ takes care of the underground, showing no respect for your speakers with its heavily reverbed kick, circling high tones, steam train toots and a looped love declaration that will surely create a rash of Ushuaia and DC10 weddings and engagements throughout the summer. Accomplished.
