The city of San Francisco has exercised an indefinable pull over yours truly ever since the Jefferson Airplane let fly with the lysergic clarion call of ‘White Rabbit’ In 1967 but, since the Hardkiss revolution of the early 90s, the place has been a hotbed of uniquely-atmospheric electronic dance music. For the last four years Prismatic has been at the forefront of this ever-happening scene. Now honcho Andrew Phelan celebrates the label’s tenth release by teaming up with long-time studio partner Origami for some cool house shapes which also bring in renowned San Francisco-based singer Rashida Clendenning, aka Audio Angel. ‘Take Your Time’ rides live bass [whipping up memories of Talkin’ Loud] with Angel’s cool vocal topping.
