Silicone Soul’s Darkroom Dubs has become a formidable source of house music which remains true to its deepest spirit but always seeks to move it forward. France’s Anthony Collins is their latest signing and manages to plug in to house’s central nervous system, with the deep and ethereal ‘Shade’, gorgeous ‘You Lost Her Again’ and luscious ‘Zoo’ creating a warm, timeless feel. ‘Acid Berry’ unsurprisingly applies some subtle squelch action to the melodic synth interplay. Marvelous tackle which has already found favour with Slam, Cattaneo and Ralph Lawson and should do major damage.
