This hit-sounding melodic number hints at references to the likes of Everything But The Girl, and even Steely Dan, whilst retaining that certain Gallic charm that’s dominated dance music in recent years. The vocal treatment also hints of the same vocoder that gave Cher a renewed lease of life a few years back – but don’t let that put you off – as the commercial edge makes this anthemic song all the better for it. Lookout for a stack of new mixes to follow in the New Year and give the New York indie a winning start to 2005.
