The South African scene is super hot right now for your music. One of the brightest shining stars on the scene is Bühnekind aka Murray Lovemore, a student based in Cape Town who has been playing the drums since he was just a young kid. Influenced by everything from Deadmau5 to Jamie XX, here he offers up his debut EP on the HMWL label and across all three tracks he really knocks it out of the park and shows that he has a wide stylistic range.
Each one of the three tracks here is different but they are all comparatively slow and tenuous. The last one is the standout for the way it has such well crafted and magic melodies. The feel overall is spaced out and tired with lush drums lulling you into a nice far sighted gaze. Florida Road is more crisp and driving, with clean claps and big dramatic paint chords real instilling you with emotions. It is a hands in the air tune for the more mature crowd and proves this artist has real skills. How I’m Feelin is the vocal laced track that will stand out in the memory. It is happy and playful, pure house music at its finest and really welcomes this new prodcuer to the world in style.
