Buraka Som Sistema
Sound Of Kuduro
Fabric

There’s something innocent about the chant in ‘Sound Of Kuduro’, and that’s explained by the fact it’s based on a playground chant. It fits the approach of this vibrant band really well, with a sound and a beat that go back to the basics of making people dance. With a catchy chorus vocal and hammering percussion this is tailor made for a dancefloor willing to incorporate Afro and Latin beats into its house. Lil’ John’s Moonwalk mix toughens up the drums to a real stomp, and works a treat, while remixes from Drop the Lime and DJ Mehdi also bring something new to the track. If you haven’t got the album yet do seek it out – this is just one of many jewels from the Angola-Portuguese crew.
