Joining some of the dots between House and Techno is this first rate production from Carlos Sanchez. ‘Carpet’ blends a high energy succession of heavy beats and bass together with uplifting keys while never feeling less than invigorating in the process. Obviously influenced by DJ Pierre and Trax Records this retains all that intensity yet sounds completely 2014. However, back the trippy title track which oozes more intrigue with its undulating, moody rhythms and pulverising arrangement of sounds. Remixes are delivered by JEF K and Detlef, both of whom rework the elements, with final track, ‘Fastness’ again delivering acid infused deepness for your pleasure.
