After a rather large amount of success with various individual projects, Cass & Slide have teamed up again and delivered another jewel in their crown. ‘Lost Life’ takes the electro route, picking up a riff not too dissimilar to Hot Butter’s ‘Popcorn’, while the vocal takes a leaf out of Fischerspooner’s book, resulting in a cute atmospheric number that rides on skippy rhythms. Tweaking remix action comes from Lottie, as she strips some of the vocal back and takes the groove deeper, whilst adding driving elements. A welcome return.
